Mongoose, Comstar

Aside from the base that I made, I took a somewhat different approach to painting this miniature (a Mongoose) than normal. Typically, I "panel paint", meaning I paint the panels and leave the lines a darker color from the base color of the miniature. There are lots of examples in this blog about doing this. In this case, I painted the 'mech's base color as white, the final color for a Comstar unit, then painted in the panel lines using a sephia ink. Overall, I like the effect... at least in this case. It gave the miniature a bit of an antique white look, in spite of being painted a straight white.
