Sorry in advance for this somewhat longer than average post. I've wanted to document a before and after pictures on one of the used miniatures that I received for my unseens. Given that the miniatures called "unseen" are decades old, most often these are found not new but used. As one might imagine, these miniatures can be said to have some wear. For example, for the Scorpion unseen miniature seen elsewhere on this blog, was missing pieces and had a thick coating of paint to get through. This led to a lot of cleaning and some building of missing parts.
These types of projects can be hugely time consuming as you might imagine. So take, for example, the unseen Wolverine miniature that I received from my friends at
BV Traders. Here's the "before" pictures.

Serious thick paint to dig out of cracks and panel lines |

Bashed in corners for the missile rack |

Need I say more? Some TLC is in order! |
After a clean up and paint, I ended with this. Couldn't bring myself to put on fragile antennae.
